I owe this to everyone’s shop tour I’ve seen. My idle time at work lately has been nothing but looking at other people’s shops.
I just did a quick run through on my phone. New truck, woodshop, music space, and garden. Good times.

a) How cool !
b) Green Giant ? Really ? Where DOES somebody get one of those
c) Who’s the bigger jerk: the guy trying to bang away on his kit while you’re woodworking, or the one trying to rip with his Radial Arm Saw while you’re drumming ? ;-)
d) Jacksonville, huh ? Get much rust on the cast iron ?
e) I couldn’t hear a word you were saying ;-)
f) Nice shop. Got it all in there, and … it looks like a very functional layout. Thanks for the visit :-)

thanks!
b. someone gave it to the library. after a while the teen department didn’t want it, so i took it home. it’s seprataes at the torso. it’s had a quite a history. for some time it stood inside the house at our picture window, staring acorss the street at the neighbors. it’s gone to parties and if i put it anywhere else in the yard, my dog goes crazy.
c. thankfully every band that practices there is one i am in, so it’s always one or the other. =)
d. rust is something i try to be proactive about. steel wool and paste wax. and whenever it rains i usually run the dehumidifier a bit in the garage. the music side of the building has an ac unit too. so that helps.

Thanks for sharing your shop and music room. A fellow drummer, eh? What kind of kit do you have? I have a Sonor five piece with only a hi-hat and a crash/ride. As a matter of fact my profile pic was taken while I was sitting behind my set.

Thanks!
It’s a low end pearl I got for a $300 when my friend moved to Japan. It’s how ya use it though right? (just like any tool) It’s been up the coast and back a few times on a few tours, and I brought just my snare and pedal when we toured Europe (they rest I borrowed). Generally, I burn though cymbals the quickest. Anything from 22”to 25” they don’t last long beating them with 2b sticks and struggling to hear myself over my bandmates insanely loud gear.
