About 2 years ago the tyrant in me took over my ‘rents garage and the rest is history. I love cutting, sanding, finishing things, the sounds and smells of this trade. I am a Certified Electrician turned Wood Work enthusiast. I find the tools are much more involved and a person’s own balance/hand-eye coordination plays an important role in operating them without a doubt, and extremely crucial in avoiding the dismemberment of you or your friends body parts…Speaking of tools, a list wood look something like this:

  • Ryobi RTS21 10” Table Saw (super saw for the money)
  • Hitachi SB 10Y Belt Sander 4×36
  • Hitachi C10FCE2 10” Compound Miter Saw
  • HF 10” Drill Press
  • Grizzly 14” GO555P Band Saw

Power Tools Ridgid 18 Volt Cordless L-Ion Impact Driver (1440 In. lbs.) Ridgid 12 Volt Cordless L-Ion Impact Driver (1000 In. lbs.) Ridgid 7.5A Hammer Drill (rips arms off) Makita BDF452 18 Volt Cordless Li-Ion Drill (460 In. lbs.) HF 7.5A 4 1/2” Grinder HF 10A 8” Sander/Polisher Porter Cable 3.7A 5” Random Orbital Sander Porter Cable Speed Bloc Sander Dremel 4000 Rotary Tool Milwaukee 12A Sawzall (7 lbs of sweet fury)

I like those loud inappropriate almost obnoxious tools…maybe cause it makes it look like you’re doing a whole lot of stuff.

A wood Lathe is now at the top of the list. I need to learn to turn….ok.

Bone, Jonny

Jonny, it looks like you have put together a pretty decent shop. And it does look like you have quite a bit going on in there as well.

Thanks for the picture. It is always fun to take a look at other shops.
