Well, I got a chance to get into the shop today and was able to make the face frame for the case. I made it just a little proud of the case so I could go back and cut it flush using the router. I also added the shelf for a space for boxed cars below the shelf as well as on the shelf.

One other thing I started was the rails and stiles for the doors. I cut these to size and added a rabbit for an 1/8” thick glass that will be inserted into the doors.

Will probably head into the shop on Wednesday so this will give me some time to think about how I want to assemble the doors. The whole thing will be painted black so I guess it really doesn’t matter how I join the rails and stiles…as long as it’s a joint that can hold the glass. Any suggestions would be helpful?
