I had to take a break from my train and I had some orders for my bird houses so I thought I would blog it and maybe someone would be interested in trying it. I had a few inquiry already so here we go. Most of the time I save my pine scraps for these but this time I needed to use some stock. No time to wait for scraps. I am building three at a time but if you follow along, it should be easy to change to one. For one, a six foot 1 X 10 works great with left over for a future project. Making the logs: This is the first and most time consuming parts of the build. the logs are 7.25 long, 3/4 X 3/4. Just cut your 1×10 into initial length. one 7.25 cut will yield 10 logs.
