When we moved to this home in 2006 my shop was an empty outbuilding (15.5 X 25) that was used by the previous owner to store the refinished tractors he worked on….an empty shell, and perfect to start a shop. I started first with putting a subfloor over the rafters, keeping an opening for a telescoping ladder. The attic is now general/wood storage.

The walls and ceiling are insulated and covered with indoor/outdoor paneling, and it’s heated with a ceiling mounted propane heater and two 100 pound tanks located behind the shop. it’s an ongoing project (you all can understand that, right!), and it still needs a more efficient dust system and more organized lumber storage.

I even cleaned it up a bit for the photo op…....

Jeff, you have a nice shop space in which to work. I agree with Jim that it does appear to be well organized and I like using pegboard to organize hand tools. It keeps them off the bench and readily available. You have a nice collection of tools to play with as well.

Thanks for the pictures. I enjoyed visiting with you.

Thanks…..the stool I made just out of bordom one night, and I’ve rarely used it as a “stool”. I use it more as a platform while working on smaller items on the benches…..helps with the aching back.

Thanks again for the nice comments.
