First post. In the market for a table saw. Been reading this forum for past several weeks and found so much info I think I’m more confused now than before. Need to stay under $1000. My first choices were the new Delta 36-725, the Ridgid 4512, and the Craftsman 21833. But I found enough reviews and issues from this site and others that I decided to look further. Found the Grizzly 715, and the Steel City models. Had pretty much decided on a Steel City 35990, 35950, or a promo Steel City I found in a store a couple hours drive away. They stock all their saws. Was talking to a salesman there and had pretty much made my mind up but then he told me any new stock was backordered. Found this to be an issue in a lot of places so I e-mailed Steel City twice just to see if they were going to be around if I had warranty work or parts down the road. Been 5 days and no response. I e-mailed the salesman I had been talking to expressing my concerns and haven’t heard from him in 4 days. Seems to me my concern may be valid. Sears has a 22116, which is very similar to the Steel City promo saw, made by them I think. Pretty good price on it at $899.99 and 10% discount if ordered on line. But I’m questioning that saw since its made by Steel City. Don’t want a 2 piece rail system so that kind of leaves me at the Grizzly 715. Am I worrying to much about Steel City? I do a lot of research before I buy anything and generally end up making good decisions. Don’t have a big shop or the need for a cabinet saw. 220 would be possible. Craigslist has had little in the used area for some time so I think I’ll buy new. Are there any other options I may be missing in a saw in this piece range? Thanks
