A while back I noted I had missed my 3 year anniversary as a LJ-er. This a little more important…..Barbie and I are celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary on March 6th, on Kauai, at our favorite B and B, near Poipu Beach. We arrived at the B and B, the evening of March 2nd, and found our room adorned with wine, chocolates, flowers, and cards…..thanks to our two sons and their families. So, for the next 11 days, we will be soaking up sun and surf, barely remembering the cold of Minnesota in early March. We are blessed!

Epilogue…....We are back home from our anniversary trip to Kauai….what a wonderful 11 days we had….perfect weather, lots of beach time, a couple rounds of golf, a posh night out on the boys, along with flowers and champagne in our special “royal” accomodations at Poipu Plantation B and B.
We came home on March 13, to some wonderfully mild weather in MN…...mild for March, and all the snow is gone!

I spoke too soon… is Sunday, March 22, and I am looking out the window, watching the snow pile up. This could turn out ot be the biggest blizzard of a pretty “wimpy” winter….possible 5-9 inches. We shoulda’ stayed on Kaua’i.
Spring seemed like it was about to dance into town… it looks like it is a long way off.

Outstanding. Maybe you should also see if you can find any LJ’s, and maybe look at local lumber dealers while you are there.
After all, after a half century Barbie should be glad to get rid of you for a few hours so she can check out the pool boys!
