Woops, I did it again…...missed my LJ 11th anniversary. Jan 12.
Another year of Covid has kept us from traveling and meeting friends in social settings. We do cheat a bit and meet in the yard for a cup of coffee or a sandwich. My bride of 56 years and I set another record for golf outings…..we played 56 times last summer, dragging out to season until Dec. 6, when we played in 48 degree sunshine.
I got in a good bit fishing and gardening, as well as a bit of sawdust production. I think my hobbies became more important as the Covid months dragged on.
I had another little table saw accident, took off a chunk of left thumb meat. It will be ok, but it was a reminder of the importance of safety and keeping your mind on what you are doing. I gotta be more mindfull of the potential dangers.
As we head into another year of Covid restrictions and precautioms. I am glad to be where I am and have a partner that puts up with me and my messes. We will try to beat our record for rounds of golf and I will plan to do a bit more fishing….
I look forward to seeinng more of my grandkids and friends and family, and seeing the smiles that are too often hiding behind masks.

Well said John…particularly your last sentence. It expresses what many of us are feeling. Happy LJ Anniversary! Sorry to hear of your injury but I’m happy to learn it was not too serious. Be safe!
