Sistering Two Table Saws--Should I?
I’m considering buying a SawStop Contractor (not Jobsite) saw, and currently have a Ridgid 2412 (20+ years old but still good) contractor saw. I’m thinking of discarding the steel base that they both use and building a common wooden base—then mounting the SawStop on the left and the Ridgid on the right—mostly to allow for two setups (one with a 90 degree cut, the other saw with either a 45 degree cut or a dado setup). What considerations should I be making? 1) Need space on the right of the SawStop to access the angle-adjustment wheel2) Need to get the 36” fence from SawStop to use it for both saws. What else? Or is this just a stupid idea (IR...
