Part 1: de-rust
A couple months ago I found a few of old saws- I havent had the time to commit to a detailed “project” lately, so Ive been piddling with returning these geezers back to work horses. (With much inspiration from you lumberjocks!). While waiting on the drill press frame to get braised, Ive started on this saw (far right in above picture). Part 2: handled
I finished up the handle last night, gave the teeth a touch up with the file and scaled the set back a tap or two. I didnt commit much time to removing the patina because I do intend to use this saw. I also took a little time with this “hacksaw”. BLO, some evapo rust, and a little elbow grease.Now all it needs is a nice vintage wing nut Thats it for these guys.
