I picked up a couple hundred sq ft of solid bamboo flooring, 3 1/2” wide for (literally) next to nothing…

What do you make of that?

No, really, what DO you make of that? We’re not going to use it for a floor any time soon (maybe someday when we finish the basement…)

In the mean time, any thoughts on what you’d make from bamboo?

I think the end grain is very dense good for cutting boards, accent panels in cabinet doors and tables, table tops. Here is a project from Todd Clippenger

Tons of small boxes,
Laminate a bunch and make some bandsaw boxes,
I agree with toolchap (I’m South African)
Cutting boards are awesome with Bamboo,
Torsion Box assembly table,
Breakfast-in-bed tray,
Charging station,

What makes you think I love bamboo?
