One of the managers at my job had an old saw mill that he wasn’t using. He agreed to sell it to me with the only caveat being that I would actually put it to use. It’s a Delta “The Lumber Co” 36-360 portable bandsaw mill.

I picked it up today. He had everything I needed to start operating except a helper. The mill came with 4 blades, 3 of which were still brand new, the ladder system needed to get the first cut and the original owners manual.

This will definitely be a two man operation. The mill weighs almost 175lbs. Each cut registers on the previous cut, requiring the saw to be moved from the log in order to remove the previously cut board.

I’m hoping to find some logs and a helper very soon so that I can give this saw mill a go.
