In the old days in the UK a carpenter’s tools used to passed on via a trade scheme to a young apprentice just starting out. Sadly this sort of thing seems to have gone in this day and age of throw away.I found this old hand plane in an old wares store in Wauchope in poor condition and restored it for my nephew who is starting out in the trade. It’s a beauty and has miles of shavings left in it!It has a new Hock blade and chip breaker and works a treat.
