« Part 3: The draw Part 4 of Hall Table series Part 5: Breadboard ends »

The top I had in mind to be mainly Jacaranda with a strip of Jarrah up the middle and Jarrah ends bread boarded on. The Jacaranda I had was not thick enough for what I wanted so I ended up having to laminate some of what I had and some other timber together.

As it turned out after splitting the other piece I really loved the grain in it so it has ended up being the face side and the Jacaranda is the underside. Here they are just placed together.

And gluing up

Next job to breadboard the ends.

Makes totally sense that it becomes the top, the strip makes it delicate too.
Love to see that clamping.
(I just posted a blog, with 74 picture, perhaps I need to learn to split them up…).
