no previous part Part 1 of Foot Stool series Part 2: Gum nuts »

Hi all,

I have been asked by my wife to make her a small foot stool and I had some hardwood offcuts floating around so here it is.
The off cuts were in the shape of a triangle so I used a gum leaf as a template to make a cut out design before joining the two pieces and carved in a section for some gum nuts which I will fill with epoxy.
I just brought some Record carving tools so I thought I would it would be nice give the edges a bit of scolloping so I tried my hand at that, I like the look of it.
I will get on to the legs next week.
