In the old days in the UK a carpenter’s tools used to passed on via a trade scheme to a young apprentice just starting out.
Sadly this sort of thing seems to have gone in this day and age of throw away.
I found this old hand plane in an old wares store in Wauchope in poor condition and restored it for my nephew who is starting out in the trade. It’s a beauty and has miles of shavings left in it!
It has a new Hock blade and chip breaker and works a treat.

sad that a lot of these great old tools rust away in junk bins.you did a great job bringing that beauty back to life.
