Caulking Cabinet Doors before Painting - 8 replies

Hi Everyone, Built some kitchen cabinet doors (poplar frames with MDF center). Going to paint them. Was thinking about caulking the center panel for a cleaner look. What thickness wood for 31" drawer box - 23 replies

Hi Everyone For holding pots/pans under the stove I’m building 2 pull out drawers boxes. 31”w by 23” d by 4” h Will I be fine with 1/2” sides and 1/4” bottom or should I do 3/4” sides and 1/2” bottom Or something else? Thank for the help!

What size spacers for pull out pantry drawer? - 7 replies

Hi Everyone, I have a pantry cabinet with a single door, 1/2” overlay on all sides. Buying Blum blumotion soft close hinges 110 degree. With 3mm plate. What size spacers do I need to use on the one side of the sliders to clear the door, since I won’t have zero clearance hinges? (Making new drawer boxes based on the spacers)....

Kitchen drawer boxes (plywood) what joint to use? - 27 replies

I’m replacing some 30 year old drawer boxes. About 15 or them. Have 1/2” plywood (maple venner). Tried doing half blind dovetails, even used sacraficial backer when cutting, but the pins kept falling apart. Guess the plywood has air pockets or some other issue. Should I just miter then glue and put 2 18g brads in each corner...
