Well I’ve had this old jointer for a little over a year now and have had to pull the knives for sharpening a couple of times already because of damaged edges. I have to be more careful I guess. I’ve read all about how to adjust the knives, it’s really pretty simple concept but it’s not that easy sometimes to get the damn things even from one end to the other, and all three knives the same. Part 2: Two more holes, then try it out

With my jig glue up now dried, I tested the jig in each of the three knife positions with the pin through the jig and the bearing housing, fits like a glove. Now I indexed the jig to the next positions of the cutter head and drilled the remaining two holes. The pin fits perfectly in all three positions.
