« Part 3: Pretty much done except a few finishing items Part 4 of Router table for my Unisaw series no next part

I picked up a length of miter track yesterday in anticipation of using my new router. It arrived a few days ago and I’ve not had time to even open the box until today. I’m going, to write a review on it but I just have to say that it’s so gooooood!!.

I’ve only got a 3/4” straight bit to use for the 1” wide channel required for the miter track so I had to make a couple of passes. There’s a world of difference between the 5/8hp Craftsman router, it was all plastic and really light, and it vibrated terribly. This thing is a beast in comparison. I just ran through it all effortlessly.

I also picked up a couple of old downs from Rockler that should be handy. The only thing missing now is a fence. I’ve got some 3/4” mdf that I’ll use to make it, maybe tomorrow.
