Looking for another project for the scroll saw and found an interesting lock to make.
Here’s what got my attention.

I figured out a size I liked and then printed out some copy’s and tried to come up with something that would work.

I had built one before so still had the plans I had used for the insides just had to move them around to fit the shape I’m using this time.

I tried to keep the body and arm as close as possible so there wouldn’t be to much space showing between them.

The three large pegs really help hold things together as your testing out the lock to make sure everything slides just right,
When it all comes together there’s a nice clicking sound as the lock arm hits bottom and locks down.

Still need to dress it up but you get the idea.

Here’s an up date.

I’ve seen these wooden locks before. Looks like it’s a great job.

Just about got it where I want it, or should I say can get it. LOL

These locks are a real joy to make, a quick but mind working project.
