Walnut and pore filler - 5 replies

Walnut and Pore Filler I am making a dining room table. Walnut as you may guess. Being in the open pore family of woods, I read that many use a pore filler to smooth it out and give the finish a smoother, richer, possibly glossier look. I have made walnut end tables, coffee tables, etc. and never used pore filler but am looking for some guida...

HELP link - 6 replies

On the website there is a help link. It references a g-mail e-mail account to use if questions need answers and states the gurus will respond. Well, I have sent my question several times now and have yet to receive a response of any kind. Does anyone actually monitor this email account?

Sliding Table for table saw - 6 replies

Please share your thoughts/experience on the pros/cons of having a sliding table on your table saw. I am considerinng one but am not yet convinced of how/why they are better than a good crosscut sled. Thanks for your comments.

Ok, I searched and found some 200+ day old stuff that pretty much says it cannot be done .. recommends using third party share sites and connecting via a URL link … is this still the case? I am specifically curious about attaching a sketchup file. Thanks.

blog posting and inserting a Word or PDF document - 6 replies

I would like to post a blog about a project .. complete with text and photos .. and have it done in MS Word and in a PDF document. Is there a way to simply copy and paste to the blog .. complete with text and photos? I have tried and it only brings over the text. Hate to have to load each and every photo and then place where needed in the tex...

Grizzly 15" planer - 2 replies

anyone have experience with their 15”, 3hp planers (GO453, 453Z, 453P, 453PX). Really different/better than the 12”-13” table top models? Byrd cutterhead any better than Grizzly standard, proprietary spiral cutterhead?
