Thanks for your note. I visit LJ everyday, though I have slowed way down on posts. I thought I would have much more time for projects since I retired. I maybe do, but have so many more projects. Planning on adding heat to my workshop this year, that will add 4 months to do projects.
I saw your comment on the blog
So I guess a thanks for replying is due first up
Boeing yes that was me I started out Rockwell as they won the contract to build Australia's new submarines the Collins class many years ago.
As for making mistakes this project is a typical example, the project ran over cost over time and was bought by Boeing for some obscure reason
An aircraft company making submarines very sus.
Any way the Aus government got a rolls Royce for the price of a holden car in the end.
Thanks so much for your kind words about my efforts. What a great forum this is for bringing people and ideas together!
My little write up about myself is three years old now. I'm 65 now and will be retiring in March. Until then I'm a weekend woodworker when the "Honey Do" list allows. I tell people I'm too old to go through the learning curve with simpler projects. I have to go straight to the mahogany Bombe chest and figure out how to do it with pocket screws.
I like your projects a lot and it gets me thinking about outdoor projects that I should get going. Maybe an outdoor Bombe chest?

When my father passed away, I already had more tools than he had and he was 1200 miles away, so I didn't get any of his tools. I think the family sold them all at a garage sale. I wood have loved to have some of the small items.
