Hiljak,

It appears to be a early model PRT that is longer and wider than the standard machines. I have a machine very similar to yours with a 48” x 96” bed and a 6” Z. My Z is rack an pinion vs. screw drive.

JAAune’s advice to contact ShopBot is the best recommendation. SB is very into supporting schools and colleges.

If you post the same info on the SB forum, the members will be very helpful telling you what you have and what you need to bring it up to speed. The address is:

http://www.talkshopbot.com/forum/activity.php

There is also a section for educators on their forum. I did not see where you are located, a member in the area may be of assistance. I’m in the Seattle area, if I can be of assistance.

Good Luck
Wayne

Have your say...
