55 yr old male with too many hobbies and not enough money or time!
With the mine, hers and ours, my wife and I have 9 children. Most of them out of the home! I have 4 boys and 1 girl, she has 3 girls and we just adopted a little 6 yr old boy who was our god-son, and was about to disappear into the foster care system. We couldn't stand the thought of that! So now we have 2 girls at home in college and 1 little boy that keeps us busy.

Draftsman by trade. I work mostly on wire schematics for systems on military aircraft and draw up new parts as the engineers think them up on AutoCadd 2014.

Love to do woodworking of course. Only have a small garage that gets mighty crowded real quick unless I stay on top of it.
Love to hunt with my boys, and ride my big Yamaha Stratoliner motorcycle. 1900cc's of raw power!! Half the power of my 5.9L dodge truck but only 800 lbs of machine. It will FLY! You should see the little one sitting in front of me grinning for all he's worth.
Keep sanding and ride safe!
Steve

Hi all, newbie here. Have a question about some Black Walnut. Fellow has offered me 450 bf at an unbelievable price. Thing is, he says it is 20 years old. It is air dried, under a barn, only 1” thick, rough cut. 8-16” wide between 6-8 ft long.
Question is: Do you think this is too old? It’s about a 3 hr drive from me and I’m worried that being only 4/4, that it has dried, may be split/cracked, and just too old to work. Don’t know the fellow at all, but did find out he’s in a bind (needs to move quick) and wants to get rid of it.

What do yall think? Too old? good deal? He’s only asking about $2/bf.
