powermatic model 90 vs Nova SN2 chuck

I have a model 90 with 1.5 inch 8 tpi spindle totally stock/original…I bought a Nova SN2 chuck and a G3 and they will not fit the threads….appreciate any info or advice. The Woodcraft store folks are stymied and do not have a clue.

I found out why Nova chucks do not fit powermatic model 90 lathes
Nova chucks are threaded with 1 1/8” 8 TPI UNC threads and the lathe spindle has Standard British Pipe thread profiled threads…so I can take the chucks to a machine shop.

Thanks for the replies GR8HUNTER I saw the add “PSI Woodworking Products LABAR418 Lathe Spindle Adapter for a 1-Inch by 8TPI Spindle to 1-1/2-Inch by 8TPI Chuck…I visited the PSI website to see if they had a 1.5 inch spindle adapter..I apologize for the typo in my original post…1 1/8 should be 1-1/2”...The powermatic model 90 spindle is 1-1/2” 8 TPI with a British Standard Pipe thread that does not match the Nova Chucks UNC thread…Teknatool nor Penn State tools makes an adaptor. I am still searching for a solution to adapt a 1-1/2” 8TPI BSP to a 1-1/2” 8TPI UNC thread… maybe consult with a local machine shop….Will post if I find solution.
