« Part 5: Making the ceiling trim and adding lights. Part 6 of compass rose ceiling detail series no next part

Well it’s finally time to install this project.
Everything was removed in the space that this was going in. A transformer and plug was installed in a cutout that was made in the drywall.

We added some shims for better nailing.

We unwrapped the unit. Propped it up on the ladder’s.

We used the scrap plywood in 4 places to hold up the unit so we could position it into place. Then with shims we centered it in the hole and screw it in with 2” screws into metal studs.

Hooked up the LED lights.

Snapped in the ceiling trim and that’s all folk’s. It’s done. Trying to get some good pictures was hard to do because of the lighting.

Hope you guys and gal’s have enjoyed this projects journey.
