I joined LJ 6 days ago and posted a blog on air filtration. This is what I came up wth after following fellow LJ’rs suggestions. A few notes about my first project entry: Thanks for the warm welcome! I wish I would’ve found this fellowship earlier. I have renewed attention to my workshop and hope to post a completed version someday. On the upside, this air filtration device is quiet and powerful. On the downside, plug location will be changed to the top of the unit. Also, since my basement ceiling is only 6’10’’, having the filtration device in the center of the shop poses somewhat of a problem. to correct this, I am planning to install a rail system (shown on my table saw) underneath my joists; (much like a pocket door operation) to slide the unit from its present location, to the center of the shop. I will provide pics when done as well as a view of the inside of the unit.I’m new to photosharing as well. Sorry if I pasted duplicates.

Nice looking filter, and cool idea with the rail system. Let us know how it works.

Oh yeah, nice tablesaw. I have one just like it.

Neat idea.

Think seriously of changing your fluorescent lights to T8’s. They will improve your shop safety and visibility 1000%

I think I figured out how to correctly post pics. 2 more are added. Thanks for the comments and yes, lighting is an issue which needs to be addressed forthwith!
