I never was happy with the lateral wobble in these chairs. None of them have broken but I didn’t like the side to side play. A friend of mine suggested a design change which worked very well. I have edited my previous post to reflect these changes. With pictures for those of you who buy magazines for the articles! Go to my project page, click on folding chairs, cutlist, etc to see new design. Hope this helps you all.

Hey Bently – Havent talked to you for a while but I’ve been talking ABOUT you. I never did get how you put those blue letter thingys in your posts but they are helpful.

I have built your chair and made some modifications of my own—seat – back – foot rest – angle of the back
So far it is a really comfortable shop chair and great for taking to soccer matches to watch from as it is tall enough to sit behind everyone and still have a great view—a BIG thanks for posting—will post pictures as soon as I get a finished chair done (the shop model is my prototype) which should be toward the end of the week
