Fellow LJ’ers, “I’m “Back”!!!
After I promised my wife a project for her Christmas present about 5 or 6 years ago, and then my health took a nose dive, we finally got started working on it this past weekend. It consists of a bank of chest of drawers for the laundry room. I am using Baltic birch and popular for the face frames. (“Man”, the prices have gone up since my last purchase) Everything is going to be painted with latex semi gloss white. The tops will be laminated. She is doing all the painting with my supervision. (“Of Course” :) I will be using Blum drawer guides and will probably make the pulls. (“My lovely wife is spoiled on their ease of opening drawers”!:) She has been helping me, try to stay straight. (“HARD JOB”!) In other words, she is the head chief on the design front and the main muscle, in pushing me around. I also have been doing some wiring in the shop. A dedicated 20 amp circuit for the new 2HP H.F. dust collector and installing a light fan combination for the restroom. I’ll be posting photos soon of the completed project, plus all the revamping and remodeling that I have completed over the past years, since my original shop photos were posted.

P.S. Yes, I am feeling better and stronger with each passing day!! “God” has truly given me another miracle in my life!

God bless

Hi Gene

Glad to hear you are better and wanting to work in the shop. I do not know if your wife worked with you before in the shop but that is an extra nice thing for you two to do together. Looking forward to your finished jroject.

I am truly a very fortunate guy. My wife enjoys being in the shop and giving me a hand with different things that I get into. She’d rather be in the shop helping me than watching television, except of coarse, when American idol is on. Back a couple of months ago when I first started to feeling better, She took some time off from work. For three days she worked about three hours each day straightening and cleaning the shop. 99% of the things she put away where put in it’s proper place. Do I detect a little silence across the Internet?? (LOL)
Thanks for all the comments and encouragements from all.
God bless
