We had a very cool summer here in the South, so I was able to work on the shop most mornings and some afternoons. The shop is heavily insulated but not air conditioned. I have a little 1500 watt electric radiator for the winter, doing a bangup job. It was 9F when I went out this morning, but the shop was holding at 60F. Work on the shop has slowed considerably the past week or so. I’m spending more time thinking and designing. This may take a few more days. I’m sure you understand the delay. Ken

Part 3: Miter saw bench, lumber rack

I finished the miter saw bench, then built the lumber rack from the WWMM collection. I should have made the rack six feet wide instead of the four foot in the plan. The miter saw bench is not much to look at, but provides a lot of handy storage in the pull-out shelves. The saw itself is nearly 20 years old and is not a slider, so doesn’t use much actual table space. I did put on a zero clearance fence and top.
