I.T. guy by day. Rookie woodworker by night. I've found woodworking to be quite rewarding as a hobby and stress reliever. I kind of go in spurts being online and working with wood. Sometimes I'm just sick of being on a computer after a day of it! Making some dust in the garage and working an a project really engage me and take my mind away. Don't have a lot of tools, but building my collection. Really hope to have a nice shop one day. But, till then I get by:) I really enjoy all the talent shared here. I've learned so much and got so many ideas here it's crazy! Thanks to everyone who contributes here.

This is my first post here. I’ve been checking out the site for a while now and have gotten a lot of inspiration and tips. Thanks for all the great ideas and beautiful work.! Anyway, this is a wine holder I finished last night and gave to my neighbor. The wood is walnut, maple, and cherry with a tung oil finish.
