SCAM? - 0 replies

Went to this guy’s homepage http://lumberjocks.com/1000woodworkingplans and found the Ted WW scam there. The picture used in the add looked familiar http://lumberjocks.com/Nighthawk. Just wanted Nighthawk to be aware of this. Looks like teeth were photoshopped on the profile pic? Hate to give a clown traffic though…

New paint on old stuff - 8 replies

I’ve been spending a little time cleaning up and painting some of my old machines. The Crescent is a hollow chisel mortiser, 3ph machine. It’s from the late 1930’s from what I could find. It weighs in at approx. 950 lbs. and works like a charm. I need a VFD to put it in use at my shop. The bandsaw is a Delta/Rockwell 20...

Whitetail Deer sheds(horns) for projects - 1 reply

I have a box of 16 sheds for sale. 14 are pristine and 2 have chew marks from squirrels and mice. These could be used as inlay material or incorporated into wooden projects. I sold one box earlier this year to a member here for his future projects and sold 2 boxes to a carver and a scrimshaw artist. All were happy. $100 shipped within the U...

OMNIJIG 16 - 9 replies

I took this dovetail machine in a trade a few years back. I have no experience with dovetail joinery other than knowing a nice joint when I see it. This is an older jig and what I googled was basically people asking questions on other forums. What else do I need to get me up and running with this? What template do I have and for ...

Kiln dried WALNUT for sale - 0 replies

If you’re in Iowa, St. Louis or Chicago area, this might be worth the drive. The guy says he has approx. 600-700 bd. ft., but he really doesn’t know exactly. The timing for the funds is bad for me or it would already be in my shop. http://quincy.craigslist.org/tls/4547300982.html

A "BOARD" made it to the Daily Top 3 - 64 replies

I’m sorry, 2 boards project made it to the Daily Top 3. Someone please explain this Daily Top 3 to me. Is it flawed and pretty much meaningless? Is it project quality? Come on man, any project this week could beat 2 boards, right? Some of this stuff gets 30-40 posts and 1000 views. Are the views people looking on and going “oh ...

Beaver Wood - 2 replies

For the last few days I was on the Mississippi River Islands, gathering beaver wood for future projects. I brought home 2 Jeep loads. Beaver wood is basically the stump or tree that a beaver felled. For any huggers out there, I didn’t cut anything live and it was a stump or dead on the ground. These pieces were obviously near t...

Woodmaster Products ?? - 10 replies

I just received my info packet from Woodmaster Machinery today. The company is based out of Kansas City, Mo, which is really not to far from me. My whole shop is vintage Delta and other USA made machines. I am certainly not trying to start a debate, but buying USA, is important to me personally. I requested info on the planer/moulder and als...
