Location: Apple Valley, MN

It's been a few years since I've edited my profile and a few things have changed. My wife is again pregnant, and our oldest daughter is now 18 months old. We have moved to Apple Valley, MN and I now have a 2 stall garage to use as a shop. I've acquired a few more tools, some for free, and made a few more projects. I still consider myself relatively new to woodworking and have yet to try more difficult joinery such as mortise and tenon or projects other than simple cabinets.

I'm currently working as a Certified Athletic Trainer for HealthPartners and am in the process of applying to Physician Assistant school. During that time I'm hoping that I can make a little side money making projects for people and expanding my skills. I think my wife has realized that I can make some darn good projects now and will let me build a dedicated shop after I finish school.

I appreciate any tips and feedback on anything I build. And I would like to get a little more into using hand tools versus power tools. While they help with time, eventually I'll be retired and have nothing but time on my hands and kids to fix things for!

Welcome to Lumber Jocks! This is a great place to get – or give – advice about woodworking on the forums and the project posts are a wonderful source of new ideas. I look forward to seeing your projects and posts.

To get the most feedback on your projects, it’s best to only post 1 or 2 at a time. This way you will get feedback over several days and from a wide variety of members.

Please enjoy your membership.

Hi there,
Welcome to LumberJocks… I joined the site myself a few months ago and will give you fair warning, this site is VERY ADDICTIVE, VERY EDUCATIONAL, and VERY FUN…. so sit back, enjoy the ride and learn from the other LJ’s as they are a group of extremely talented people that are also very friendly…

Enjoy your time here on LJ and pass the word to any of your woodworking buddies about us…

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.

God Bless
