I’m a newbie to Lumberjock so maybe this has been brought up already. Just wondering what you folks think or if there are rules/policies with regard to Pinterest. I first heard about Lumberjocks via a pin. I like to pin interests or future project ideas to my boards on carpentry. So far I have hesitated to do so with the projects found here. Am interested in the general feelings of you fellows, and ladies???

I can’t speak for the rest, but if you have a project of mine you like feel free to pin it somewhere else, just give credit where it’s due I suppose and let everyone know where it came from. Don’t be like that site that likes to steal ideas and plans and then sell them, I think his name is Ted. Bad Ted :(

I agree with Brian, as long as credit is given I don’t have any problem with you posting a project you like.

Your post is listed as a Blog you might get a better response if you posted it as a question in the forums area.

Pin away! If it’s a public link it’s fair game. Just make sure you are linking to the actual source, not uploading the images as your own.

Thanks for the comments, my thinking is the same. I did not want to cause any problems, was going to just tag interests as favorites but like the way they can be grouped in pinterest. Not sure why I need more. Most likely will run out of days before coming to the end of my present list. Have reposted this under forums as suggested. Thanks again. Best of the season, and merry christmas.

I’ve got no thoughts on pinterest, but have you tried adding projects to your Favorites here on lumberjocks? I love that I can click away at things I like or might want to try, and then be able to scroll thru the selected projects. Lets face it, the worthwhile projects are mostly on Lumberjocks anyway.

The only thing I don’t like about it is when you get dropped here and look at the page you can’t get back where you were on the PI or any other side that points you to here.
This is the way LumberJocks is set up.
If any one knows a work around I sure would love to learn it.
