« Part 1: From a fellow Veteran Part 2 of Thank You series no next part

It’s been some time since I was able to get on here, and even longer able to do much of work. I have had to get out of working with wood of anyways. My lungs has taken a turned on me. I am doing right now the best I am able to do. I have had to start staying with my oldest son, and get pampered 24hrs. a day. They are taking the best care any hospital, nursing homes, could ever do. I have to stay in an air cooled, low humidity room. That sure ddon’t leave me much I get to do.I took a turn for the worse about 6 months ago and that was all it took. I take pride in knowing all of you over the past few years, and enjoyed watching all of your work display on here. We are still trying to go through all of my works and tools, just to see what I have. Please I ask for. No sympathy but keep me in your prayers.
All I have tried to live by, is a Man can show his worse is how many of family and ones I can say are friends. So I FEEL I AM ONE OF THE MOAT WEALTHIEST MAN ALIVE. No one can ever ask for any more. I hope I will be able to continue to keep in touch with.
With many thanks Your friend, James L. Earl

God Bless you Jim!

Prayers sent! I too have not been on LJs as much, but I remember all your pyrography (is that what it’s called? ). Awesome burned artwork…

May your health improve and blessings to your family!

Jim, I’m sorry to hear about your turn from having to work with wood any more. maybe I can suggest that you get a pencil and some paper and draw the items that you would have burn’t into the wood.

Another thing you could try is take some colored construction paper and cut out the pieces and patters and glue up your creations.

Keep the mind active, and my prayers are for you and your children.

I have been truly blessed with so many friends. I have respected all your opinions, information and most of all your comments on my work. For the time, I am evolved in coloring adult coloring books, I have this to do or sleep or watch movies. I know this sounds great to some of you, but even just burnings I felt I was doing something. I am watching movies at the same time as coloring. I am so thankful that I can still get up out of bed. Many times I try and keep myself out of bed, times it works or sometimes I get irritated. OK Well thank all of you for being a true friend of mine. Ill be back as soon as I can get on here.

Hey Jim. Sorry to hear of your situation. Prayers for you. Keep positive. Take one day at a time. It you can’t do woodworking, you can still draw with those exquisite mechanical pencils. (wink)
