Location: Phoenix

Just a guy that loves the smell of saw dust and a good challenge. I like making unique things that require a lot of design thought and plenty of patience. Since Woodworkers Source is only 2 miles from my house, I find it way too convenient to shop for exotic woods ... I spend a lot of time window shopping.

My shop is my 20 x 20 garage, and in Phoenix the temperature outside in the summer months of July - September remain above 100 degrees. Way too hot for me.

I tried to do at least one complex project per year, plus a bunch of little ones. Now, I need to give up my hobby. My health makes it almost impossible to move about in the shop. I have already put many of my larger tools on craigslist. Sad to see them go.

people here are amazingly nice and very supportive. I would love to see a video from you. Especially for making a banjo – i kind of know the process of a ukulele, just havent done it yet. I would love to see one on a banjo – maybe It’d give me the push to make one. Most people on LJs are NOT experts and the ones that are are VERY supportive and nice. I have received so much help – and as you can see, my projects arent that great, but i always feel accepted. MAKE A VIDEO! :) :) :) :)

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.

God Bless

I have to agree with the many posts … this site is very addicting.

You are all so friendly and give a guy a sense of pride. I have now spent 8 hours looking at the many talented folks’ creations. I can safely say that FaceBook has nothing on this site. I might even give up on Farmville.

Hi there,
Welcome to LumberJocks… I joined the site myself almost a year ago and will give you fair warning, this site is VERY ADDICTIVE, VERY EDUCATIONAL, and VERY FUN…. so sit back, enjoy the ride and learn from the other LJ’s as they are a group of extremely talented people that are also very friendly…

Enjoy your time here on LJ and pass the word to any of your woodworking buddies about us…
