270 posts in 5226 days Location: Butler,Pa. Greetings to all !!! I have been working with wood since I was in my early teens....building bird houses. I built a ton of them, and still build one ocassionally. I've been involved in arts all of my life. I spent 4 1/2 years in a monestary, where I picked up the Art and Craft of Woodcarving. I spent 2 1/2 of those years carving designs in and for the new altars that were built for the chapel. After leaving the monestary in 1965, I kept up my woodcarving, but instead of carving religious statues and the likes, I turned to carving wild life and other things of interest to me and others..... which takes in almost anything. I have always needed it to suppliment my income.... as a result I use to do many craft shows, and that would result in doing some custom work....such as gunstock scenes and name signs and names and things like that. The best
PS. I JUST WANTED TO MENTION THAT EVERYTHING I LIST IN MY GALLERY IS FOR SALE (OR ONE SIMILAR).... UNLESS IT IS MARKED NFS. (NOT FOR SALE) IN THE TITLE DISCRIPTION. IF INTERESTED, EMAIL ME. I AM NOT EXPENSIVE FOR THE QUALITY OF WORK I DO, BUT I DO HAVE SOME RATHER EXPENSIVE ITEMS.... AS SOME MAY THINK. I ONLY ACCEPT PAYPAL.... WHO IN TURN WILL ACCEPT ALMOST ANY CREDIT CARD. THANKS DAVE! -- Dave Leitem,Butler,Pa.,http://dlcarver.etsy.com Latest Activity | view all »Latest Blog Entries | view all 12 »

Please be patient with me… I am somewhat slow in figuring things out and getting things done. Time is my enemy….as I seem to have little of it….even though I am retired, I still get my time to rest.
THANKS FOR THE COMMENTS!... Regards Dave

I cannot figure out how to post pictures of my past work into my gallery. I cannot find the “post new” button to click on. I told you, I always have to learn the hard way. Thanks! ........Dave

Welome Dave! You have found the right place for woodworkering. A great group of people willing to help. You have some nice carvings. Do you do them with hand carving or power carving? Looking forward to see more of your projects, shop, and comments. Have fun and work safe.
