Previous blog from me Col Baker 2013

Apologies for not replying to all about the wooden soccer ball manufacture from 2013 (Col Baker).

Recovered from a stroke and changed email address. If anyone is still interested in this subject, I can send them a pdf of the cad dwg for manufacture. My email is [email protected]

Questions on glueing together the pieces, it’s a trim and fit as you go no matter how accurate you make the pieces, and fit one at a time. Simple white glue is quite adequate and they tend to hold themselves in place well so you do not need extra clamping etc. Just suck it and see.

Willing to answer any further questions here.

Thanks for your generosity and suggestions. I would like to have a copy of your dxf files. Also, I came across a router bit with adjustable cutters: 0-90 degrees in 1-deg increments. See, part #RC-2370. The accuracy might be close enough—or closer than I can manage. Unfortunately, it’s a bit expensive at $467 (but hey, shipping is free).
