It’s been awhile since I’ve posted on here. I’ve been mostly doing small projects/home repairs but this is what Ive been working on here and there for the past couple months. I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel! Now to decide on a stain and finish and get it out of my basement and into my sons bedroom!

Before anyone asks. It’s a total of 4 main components (drawers excluded). Headboard, footboard, and the platform comes apart in 2 pieces. 8 Drawers total.

Doug,

That’s a massive project. Even with the parts, it’s a lot to move. I ended up assembling mine in the bedroom.

Can’t wait to see yours finished.

Thanks guys! and nice build lightweight! way to many curves for me! I think I need to go with a water-based stain on this. My son is autistic. Certain things bother him….like odors. so I’m hoping a water based stain wont be too strong for him when I bring it into his room.

I have 2 coats on stain on it and 1 coat of Poly. Just applied my second coat of poly and realized I had ladybugs invading my basement! Their trying to get in to hibernate. I dont mind them. I just dont want ladybug tracks through a fresh coat of poly. Time to break out the vinegar!
