Location: Fort Myers, Florida

I live and work in Southwest Florida. I am originally from the Chicago area. I lived in Missouri and ran a fishing lodge in Rockaway Beach where I was a fishing tour guide and competed in Fishing Tournaments.

I have always loved working with wood. Ever since I was a kid I enjoyed cutting wood pieces and making things. In highschool I got into wood working classes where my enjoyment grew.

The first piece I made was a 'butler' that had a hanger for a coat and a small bench with slots for spare change and pocket stuff.

I re-built a 90 year old farm house some years ago.

Most recently, I have been enjoying making furniture and gardening structures for my partner. When we first built our home 5 years ago, I constructed a pergola structure for her vegetable garden. My son helped me build up a wooden piling wall to the side of our home, to raise up the walking area and make it easier for walking and gardening.
I have also built a large patio bench for our lanai and a table from Cedar. In addition I built a plant shelf for my sweeties many, many plants. I have also built a wooden chaise lounge and companion table. Most recently, I just completed making a dining room table and am in the process of completeing thedining room chairs. See my photos.

I am looking forward to sharing projects and ideas with everyone on this forum.
