Reorganization of the shop: Not what I had planned on doing
On my way to finishing the guitar I decided I needed to do a cleaning of the shop to minimize the dust to put the finish coats on the instrument. Along the way I ended up doing a four day reorganization. Oh, I did clean it too. This video shows the changes in the shop after the reorganization. Also, I've been following posts on LJ's about dust collection and venting outside, in the winter, I managed to do something like that here.

Even though I use the shop quite a bit I use it a lot more now during these pandemic times. I just had to get it squared away for the winter. I should have taken a before picture of it, before I started cleaning that is. It was okay but in need of a face lift. A lot of work but still a sort of satisfying thing to do. I have my own heated dedicated space. You feel beholding to it, ya know?

Good stuff. Are you using nitro? I only ask as I spray mine outside and unless a bug flys through while I spray (takes a minute or two) then no issues as it dries very fast. I hang it in my shop after and my wife only complains about the smell for a short time.

~For those reading and don't know 'nitro' is a type of guitar finish adopted and sometimes abandoned by guitar companies. Martin worked with it years ago.~
No, I'll be using a mixture of poly, tongue oil, and thinner after grain filling to make a sort of tru-oil. Long ago I used to spray lacquer but started more natural finishes after that.
