All pieces of the X bracing for the soundboard are made and glued in place. Then, the braces are preliminarily carved down to rough shape.
This is one more guitar after a 41 year hiatus from making them. The last one made when I was 24 years old. It uses materials purchased at that time and tools and jigs of that era.

Forgive me for saying this, but I have to ask.

How long before we see you combine your talent as a luthier and as a lure maker, and see you create your very own version of the ” banjo minnow” ?

so you have to shape them for better sound very kewl now a bowl of chex mix :<))

Good one Jim….As you know I’m not a ‘precision’ guy. I’m more off the cuff. Let’s just get the guitar strung up first to see if it works… ;-)
