I’m building a jig to glue up laminated arms for a project. as I am doing this repetitively I am looking for air clamps without breaking the bank. Anyone out there have any idea’s? thanks Dave Clark Kansas City

does anyone know how to turn a photo when posting a project? I’m posting a grandfather clock, and even tho it is correct in my photo files, when inserted, it appears turned 90 degrees, or is laying down.

can I french polish on a lacquer base ? - 3 replies

My question is the title: can I french polish on a lacquer base? I have a lacquer finished box, but would like a better finish – - so I am thinking – - french polishing – but can I use the shellac and alcohol over the lacquer without the lacquer “melting”? Or do I need to remove the lacquer and start over? or ...
