After doing quite a bit of research I finally bought the DeWalt Model 716. I wanted to look at the Milwaukee model 6950 but I could not find a single store or tool supplier that had one in stock that I could actually look at and put my hands on. The DeWalt was in stock at several places so I could go and look at it. One store even had one set up that I could try out.
I had to make some modifications to current miter saw station as I upgraded from a Delta 10”
Increasing the width of the opening the saw sits into, cutting back the fence and adjusting the attached tape measure on fence for proper alignment.
I’m pretty happy so far with this saw and the finished station it sits on.
All that is left is to build a dust hood.
