I’ve been out of the shop doing other things lately, remodeling some rooms inside the house. The wife thought the living room needed a face lift so ripped out the old (and worn out) carpet, added fresh paint and a new laminate floor. I did however make my own baseboard so I did mix a little woodworking in with the project.
Then a wind storm took part of the roof off and caused some water damage to the master bathroom, We’ve been wanting to replace the tub and shower enclosure for awhile now so were going to re-do the whole bathroom. I guess this more of a “This Old House” blog post than a Lumberjocks.com post.
I had to have knee surgery a few weeks ago so I’m kind of laid up for a couple of months so I’ll have time to get back to surfing Lumberjocks.com

David,
I hope the surgery went well!! I too have fallen to a similar problem. This winter was nasty in NY and we had ice damming and a severe water leak. So I gutted our living room and finally ready to paint next week. Replaced wiring, hardwood floor, heating etc.. In the middle of all that I found out I have Rheumatoid Arthritis. So, I feel your pain… Hang in and you will be feeing better soon. I can’t wait to get back in the shop.
