Any Lumberjocks going to AWFS in Vegas this year? July 2019 - 1 reply

I’ll be there from July 17th and leaving July 21st. I’ve never been there before so I don’t know just how big it is. I imagine pretty big. It’d be nice to meet up with a fellow woodworker to chat and maybe grab a beer and lunch. I went to the CES back in 2000 and was amazed at the size of it. Clare

Just how far should a fellow woodworker go to point out flaws? - 21 replies

I received this comment on 5/24/19 Your dresser looks very nice. One suggestion for you in the future is to try to use continuous grain pattern across a level of drawers so they flow naturally. With plain sawn oak the grain pattern is very prominent and when adjacent drawers are very different the effect takes away from the overall look. Pers...

The Ceros looks like a twisted 1 1/4 female connection from a spiral hose. The Fein comes with a hard 1 1/4 nozzle with an added in rubber sleeve that do...

Help with selecting router bit for end of Carsiding - 3 replies

I’ve already got the router bit set for the Tongue and Groove V groove for car siding. But i’ve seen some places that router an edge on the ends of the boards for long horizontal runs. what would be a good bit for this practice? It almost looks like the same bits are used for the ends. Maybe using the Groove bit for all the right end...

The New 18-900L DP arrived yesterday from the carrier designated from Amazon. No problems they rolled it right into my garage/shop. Had a friend help put the head on, actually he’s a big boy about 6’5” 320lb so he did it alone I only guided it onto the column. Nice to have big friends, he was happy with a beer and a peanut. The...

To remove your fence foot or not. - 1 reply

I recently purchased a new Table Saw (Steel City 35905) and was going to build an out-feed table. I was wondering what happens to the foot that they affix to the back of the fence. If I construct a out-feed table and affix it to the back fence channel, then the foot couldn’t ride along the rear fence channel. Do you simply remove the rear foot?
