ridgid lathe tool rest help - 9 replies

I have been turning pens on my ridgid lathe and the tool rest is far away from the pen is there another way to help this? A different tool rest or something else

About a year ago on this site, I wish I knew the wonderful person that posted a picture of the price of a ridgid jointer from home depot. The sign said 214.00 , it was back east somewhere. Any. Way I printed that picture out and took it to my home depot and the 675.00 jointer was sold to me for 214.00!!! So please post them pictures and save us ...

what is the best way to care for my cast iron table top on my new saw? I now am using wax is there a better way or product. Thanks
