It ain’t much. I’m in the process of building a 12×16 shed in the back yard that will become the work shop.

These windows will go in the work shop I’m building.

Thanks CarterR! Now I just need to learn how to use them. hahah Hopefully when I get the shed built, I’ll be able to devote more time to making stuff.

Thanks Billy. I’ll start on it in the spring and post pics of the progress. Maybe I’ll do one of those blog things they have on this site.

Look forward to it.

That boring machine…is that a Millers Falls? I saw two just like it at an auction a while back. I didn’t win either of em but I did walk away with a Champion Blower and Forge post drill. Anyway, that thing is sweet looking.

Billy,

That boring machine … the only ID I can find on it says “Ajax.” The bit you see in it doesn’t “bite.” I tried sharpening the lead screw but, wasn’t successful. I’m looking for more bits, if you know of some, let me know. :)

I’ve also got a Cenedy Otto, Western Chief #0 Post Drill. I plan to learn a little black smithing in the future. I’ll be on the look out for a forge, or making one, when the time is right.

Here’s some better pictures.

I’m sure you’ve looked already, but I came across this: http://vintagemachinery.org/mfgindex/detail.aspx?id=1288
Pretty neat. If I come across anything for that behemoth, I’ll let you know :)

Is that the original color scheme of that post drill?

I doubt the paint job on that post drill is original. I’d like to change it. But, I don’t know how. :)

Wish I could help you with an answer on that. I guess you could take the time with some sort of solvent and wire brush to scrub it all off or just paint over it. Maybe get it sandblasted? Not sure what the right answer is.

No problem. Hope it can help in some way.
