« Part 1: Parts cut but struggling from the start Part 2 of Paul Sellers Shooting Board series no next part

Well after I figured out that I had inadvertently had created a lefthanded shooting board I started over. You may notice that the left hand failed board became my test piece. So here is the right handed version. I added some paste wax to the ramp and it slides like butter.

I bought this plane mostly because I thought it would work well both as a plane and a shooter.

Seems to be dead on but how is the miter?

I think that can work. I originally dismissed this as being too difficult for my skill level and Paul makes it look easy to get things dead on accurate with hand tools. Each project makes me more comfortable with hand tools. It probably doesn’t hurt to do each project twice either. This is a fun hand tool project and will hopefully add some accuracy to my work. Thanks for looking.

Nicely done, and that miter should work out just fine.

Great build and you’ll get a lot of use out of it.
Those miters look dead on.

Have your say...
