Project Information

This is an endgrain cutting board made out of 3 hardwoods. I blogged about the build here.

It is built out of the three parallelograms that are shown in the the forth picture. These were about 15 inch long sticks that were then crosscut into the size shown. I used a sled that had clamps attached to do the ripping, clean up, and crosscutting. By using a few techniques, it was actually a fairly simple build and required no exact measuring (just exact 60 degree angle setting which was helped by a Wixey angle guage).

It was guled with Titebond III while clamped in a frame. It is finished with drug store mineral oil.

That's really SOMETHING else!

Sure plays tricks with your eyes… what is coming Out? ... or is it In?

That's another winner!

Really very COOL!

Thank you.

Very impressive.
When I flip back and forth from the second and third picture, it's like I'm looking at a different board.
Great illusion.

I like this one very much, Steve.

An interesting and clever variation on the Tumbling Block pattern. Good depth and it flips in an instant. 10 out of 10 on the visually challenging front.

Good, clear, blog too. My doctor says I have to avoid doing cutting boards though!!
